# Picture City

## Eraser Plains
|
||||

||||
### Stage 1
|
||||
|
||||
- Take the upper path to the dead end. When you get to the last area, fall towards the left and the first cage will appear at the end of the path.
|
||||
|
||||
- Go all the way to the end of the stage. When you see 8 yin-yang balls, grab the ledge to the left, then get on the platform that appears to the ledge above. The second cage will appear on the other side, so you must backtrack to that area.
|
||||
|
||||
### Stage 2
|
||||
|
||||
- When you get to the second wave of pencils, jump above them and collect the Tings until you hear a chime; then use the flying blue elf to shrink and go through the small passage. The third cage will be at the end.
|

|
||||
### Stage 3
|
||||
|
||||
- The fourth cage is in plain sight; however, it can’t be accessed unless you shrink. Travel to the area where lots of spiky yin-yang balls and clear all the balls out to make platforms appear. Ride the topmost one all the way to the end where a flying blue elf awaits you. With this, you can reach the cage.
|
||||
|
||||
- The fifth cage is also in sight, however a yin-yang ball must be knocked over to safely access the cage. Ride the platform to the right to reach the ball to be hit.
|
||||
Continue down the path until you reach a bunch of Tings resembling a smiley face. Run down the slope and jump as soon as you see a trail of Tings which leads to a large health boost. Jump towards the Tings to the left and the cage will appear on the platform near the smiley face.
|
||||
You can meet the Magician in this stage. Proceed through the stage until you come to a path blocked by numerous spiky yin-yang balls. Clear them to free up the path and proceed right, where you’ll find him. In this bonus stage you must collect 15 Tings in 35 seconds. No real gimmicks, but it’s highly recommended that you use the running ability here in order to collect all the Tings in time.

### Stage 4
|
||||
|
||||
> **Note:** This stage can only be visited once.
|
||||
|
||||
- No cages are in this stage; however, you must fight **Space Mama** and her two lackeys in this stage. You *must* defeat her two lackeys in order for her to appear. Take care of the ring throwing pirate first, it attacks by throwing its ring at you like a boomerang. Be mindful that the bomb pirate will also be throwing bombs at you while you do this. After defeating him, you will also need to defeat the bomb pirate. Continuously hit the pink crow’s nest until he comes down, then hit him repeatedly. Once both lackeys have been defeated, Space Mama herself will come out. In this instance, she mainly attacks by throwing knives at you. Use the knives that stick to the stage to bounce up and hit her face. You must hit her 6 times to defeat her.

## Pencil Pentathlon
|

|
||||
### Stage 1
|
||||
|
||||
- As you begin this stage, jump on top of the ink jar to your left. You should hear a chime and a pencil sharpener will appear to your right. Jump on top of it, but quickly follow it by jumping over the erasers as it starts moving to the right. Bounce on the pink pens and proceed further right. Either climb above or go below the platform to the right of the pens. If you went above just drop down to the right. You’ll then climb up on the platform to your left and see the first cage. The trick is to stand really close to the fountain pen, jump and punch through the gap, then duck, so that your telescopic fist will hit the cage while retracting.

- Go back to the left and climb up to proceed further into the stage. You’ll see another split path with the choice to go above where there’s a hunter or drop onto a cloud. Go the lower route and you’ll see the second cage to your right. When the cloud bounces down, just walk or crawl right onto the platform, then back to your left again to get under the cloud. As soon as you fall make sure to hold right as otherwise you may fall down the gap, plummeting to your death. You’ll drop onto an elf which will shrink you. You’ll then be able to jump up through the small space to your right and then break the second cage. Your best bet is to jump up into the space on the right and then jump higher to the left where another elf will appear. You can then crawl right under the pencils where the photographer is. Proceed to the end of the stage.

### Stage 2
|
||||
|
||||
- In this stage, you’ll get the **Super Helicopter** power at the beginning. Fly through the stage while carefully avoiding the spikes, thumbtacks and pencil points. When you come to three vertically moving pencils pointing downwards, pass them, then fly to the platform above to your left, which is above the pencils. Fly over the pencils (crawl when above them to avoid being squashed if your timing was off) and you’ll find the third cage on this platform just left of them. Beware of the hunter who appears when proceeding right if you picked up the health boost.

||||
- Proceed further into the stage and be careful at the tricky part with all the bouncing spikes. You’ll have to punch them all to clear the way then crawl through the space. As you eventually get by all these potential hazards, approach the exit sign but do not touch it. Just as you’re beside the sign you’ll hear a chime, go back to the right and on the platform just under the exit sign, you’ll find the fourth cage. Just fly very close to the thumbtack and punch from there and you’ll break the cage. Complete the stage.

||||
### Stage 3
|
||||
|
||||
- The fifth cage is just at the bottom of all the bouncy erasers. It’s a bit tricky to get to; just follow the path of the Tings to it using the hanging and helicopter abilities to avoid contact with the erasers. When you get to the bottom where the Tings lead, break the fifth cage which will be on your left.
|
||||
|
||||
- You’ll then have to follow a second ting path; otherwise, you’ll end up on a higher path with Tings spelling out “NO”, indicating you went the wrong way. You’ll get to a photographer after you go in the right direction and, as you pass him, literally hold right (but don’t run). You will bounce across through all the hazards and you’ll land on a vanishing cloud. Quickly jump to the next ones and proceed right to avoid getting hurt. Proceed right to the rightmost point you can reach. You’ll then see a sharpener appear, but don’t jump on it; just go under it. You’ll land on a sharpener below which brings you left, then jump from that to another that moves upwards. You’ll jump on pencils then to your left then using the running and hover abilities navigate further left across more pencils. Eventually you’ll land on a fourth set of pencils where the sixth cage will appear along with 2 pairs of shooting eyes. Break the cage then proceed right and complete the stage.

## Space Mama’s Crater

### Stage 1
|
||||
|
||||
- The first cage can be found on the pathway to a second exit sign. As you advance to the rightmost part of the stage, you’ll see some moving pencil sharpener platforms above you which will lead you to a platform above. Climb the pencil sharpeners to find a platform on the upper right, then go left and follow the path of slippery black erasers until you reach a pink flying ring. The first cage will be to the left of the flying ring, blocked by three spiky yin-yang balls, which you’ll have to clear in order to break the cage.

|
||||
- After you drop down, you’ll see a gap with an arrow of Tings pointing downwards. Jump over that gap and go left where you’ll climb a series of pink flying rings. The second cage can be found to the left of the second exit sign. Make sure you jump over the sign as it will appear in front of you.
|
||||
|
||||
### Stage 2
|
||||
|
||||
- The third cage can be found if you go down a gap with a red flying ring. The cage can then be seen next to a colorful paint can with 2 hunters.
|
||||
|
||||
- The fourth cage can be seen initially before the third cage, though you can’t reach it until you pass the area with the bouncy erasers. When you get to the two symmetrical slopes, run down the right one and then jump with momentum as you run back up the left slope; you will reach a platform above. Proceed left along this platform until you reach the cage.
|
||||
|
||||
- You can meet the Magician in this stage. First you must travel until you reach the first photographer; then, as you proceed right, you will see 2 vanishing clouds. Fall on the path below and then continue travelling to the right until you see a pit to the abyss below. This is where you have to use the running/helicopter ability to reach the other side, where the Magician is waiting. In this bonus level you must collect 16 Tings in 50 seconds. The main gimmick in this level is the presence of bouncy erasers. Compared to other bonus levels, this one is a bit more forgiving with the time.

||||
### Stage 3
|
||||
|
||||
- Proceed through the stage until you get to the the second photographer. Jump off the left side of the platorm and board the pencil sharpener, where you must quickly alternate between ducking under the drawing pins while clearing the yin-yangs. You’ll reach another platform, then you’ll need to board another pencil sharpener platform to your right. As the sharpener starts moving, you’ll need to jump over a drawing pin and land the sharpener again. As you approach an arrow of Tings, you should hear a chime. Return to the platform on your left, where you’ll need to use a pink flying ring to reach a bouncing cloud, then board the pencil sharpener platform. You’ll see more bouncing clouds to your right; these will lead you to a platform above, where a pyramid of Tings sits. Collect them and the fifth cage will appear on your left, though you’ll need to drop down to the pencil sharpener platform and use the vanishing cloud on your left to reach it.

|
||||
- Advance all the way to the end of the stage, then board the pink platform above the exit sign. A chime will be heard; you will then need to go back to the left and jump on the pencil sharpener platform. As it takes you to the left, board the two pencil sharpeners that suddenly appeared to reach the platform above, then crawl through the opening to grab a pink flying ring. After swinging on it, another pink flying ring appears. Use it to reach the platform above where the sixth cage is, along with lots of Tings.

### Stage 4
|
||||
|
||||

|
||||
- In this stage, you’ll fight **Space Mama** for a second time. Duck when her washing machine first appears. When she comes out, you will have a chance to hit her on the head, but only when she is shooting a laser from her rolling pin. After you hit her enough times, she will then also begin attacking you with waves of pots, so make sure to avoid those. At some point, when her health is low enough, she will hide behind her washing machine and fire lasers continuously and you won’t be able to directly hit her. You have to alternate between jumping and ducking under the lasers while continuously hitting the washing machine until it bounces off (you know you’re getting closer the more it vibrates), at which point you can then continue hitting her. You have to hit Space Mama 12 times to defeat her.
